Tivoli Gardens the famous amusement park in central Copenhagen has been ‘amusing’ people since 1843 – not a bad run considering rollercoasters were only invented in 1885! And while I would hope they have replaced the wheels since then, I loved the olden day feel of the Gardens, in particular their grand entrance lit up with gleaming white lights against the black winters sky. It gets mighty nippy though, so make sure you take your gloves for those white-knuckle rides!
