I had never heard of Acorn Street In Beacon Hill, Boston when I visited the city last year, but after walking the cobbled streets and speaking with locals we found out that it is actually the most photographed street in the whole of the USA – pretty crazy!
The funny thing was, after the trip I started seeing pictures of the street everywhere I looked – and to top it off in weirdness the last time I visited my mum in Australia I walked in the house and guess what was staring back at me? A huge framed picture of that very street – it’s a small world, that’s for sure!

Interesting. But why is it the most photographed street in America? Anything peculiar about its location/design/etc?
Yes please do tell. I am also intrigued to know the ‘why?’…
I was in Boston a couple weeks ago, but sadly I missed this. 🙁
Oooh intrigue, this is good : ) – I probably should’ve mentioned this in the post, but theres nothing hugely “famous” about the street apart from it being picturesque – it’s been around since the early 1800’s and apparently sums up the American dream I’m told! (complete with American flag!)
Hi Danielle, that’s a shame – maybe you’ll see it hanging on a wall sometime like I did?!
