Travel to Greece and you’ll no doubt enjoy a sunset or two, particularly if you visit one of the islands, like Mykynos. Mykynos is one of those places where it’s exactly like you see in pictures – The cobalt blue and white houses, winding pathways and lots of beautiful sun-kissed people. While I found the island quite touristy I still soaked up the mediterranean atmosphere and loved being able to fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves…a luxury I have forgotten since becoming a London concrete jungle monkey a few years ago.
This picture was taken over dinner, while every single diner at our restaurant watched with awe as the sun slowly retreated back behind the horizon line, signalling the end of another day, and the start of another night of crazy Greek island partying. To me, summer holiday’s don’t get much better than that.

I like the vivid imagery you create with sentences like, “…luxury I have forgotten since becoming a London concrete jungle monkey…” And I agree, nothing quite like the sound of crashing waves.
Hi Maria, thanks so much! : )
